Let me just start off by saying WOW. I never thought I'd like Romanian food, whatever "it" was. I again, assumed, that it would be very heavy and meat-based. I wasn't wrong, but I found dishes that I really enjoyed and would 100% eat again. For lunch on Friday, March 9, I started off with a bean soup paired with Romanian bacon. The consistency and flavor of the soup went well with the meat from my bacon. I kept it simple, and finished my meal with grilled chicken and potato wedges. On Saturday while we were in Brasov, we stopped and grabbed a quick dinner before heading back to Bucharest. I was so full from my meal the day before, but knew I wanted something similar, I stuck to goulash. I had tried my friends' and it was filing and full of flavor. This specific goulash was creamy and thick. It had some potato wedges as well as chopped pieces of beef. Paired with an Ursus beer, I definitely had plenty for dinner!
